10 <br />Poultry <br />Permits <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />March 18, 1948 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Thursday <br />afternoon, March 18, 1948 at 3:00 p.m. Messrs. McQuillan, <br />Russell and Lamont were present. The Agent was also <br />present. <br />Upon motions duly made and seconded, the following <br />appointments were made for a period of one year expiring <br />March 31, 1949: <br />Inspector of Animals <br />Slaughter Inspector <br />Health Inspector <br />Milk Inspector <br />Agent <br />Special Agent <br />Special Agent <br />- John J. Murphy, D.V.M. <br />- George G. Whiting <br />- John Lamont <br />- John Lamont <br />- Hazel J. Murray <br />- Howard R. Carley (Met. State <br />- Thomas S. Bowdige " " <br />Hosp. <br />" <br />Application was received from Dominic Iovino for <br />permission to keep 400 poultry at a farm in James Street. <br />The application was not acted upon inasmuch as the Board <br />prefers to determine whether or not Mr. Iovino has com- <br />piled with the Board of Health requirements insofar as <br />the condition of the premises is concerned. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted to <br />send a letter to the residents of the Manor Section <br />relative to connecting with the sewer within one year from <br />the time of receipt of such a letter. This letter is to <br />be mailed when the project has been completed. <br />The Health Inspector was requested to obtain a list <br />of individuals in Lexington who slaughter poultry and to <br />advise them that it is necessary to obtain a permit to <br />keep poultry and also a permit to slaughter poultry. <br />Application was received from. Richard F. Rodehiser <br />for a renewal of his permit to clean cesspools in the <br />Town of Lexington. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to <br />renew the permit for a period of one year, expiring <br />March 31, 1949. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />1 <br />
