BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />February 19, 1948 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was held <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Thursday, <br />February 19, 1948 at 3:00 p.m. Mr. McQuillan, Mr. Lamont <br />and the Clerk were present. <br />Letter was received from Mr. Lynch, Town Counsel, Legal <br />with reference to the Chairman's letter of January 15 Opinion <br />regarding the belief of the Board of Health that the <br />Board should consist of five members instead of three. <br />Mr. Lynch explained that under the provisions of <br />Chapter 11 of the Legislative Acts of 1945, the Town of <br />Lexington was authorized to create a Board of Health con- <br />sisting of three members appointed by the Selectmen. In <br />order to raise the present Board of Health from three to <br />five members, it would be necessary to file a bill in the <br />Legislature. No action was taken on the matter. <br />Application for a license to transport garbage was <br />received from Connors Bros. of Lincoln and signed by the <br />Chairman. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />
