Nursery Sch. <br />Septic tank <br />Garbage <br />Trans. <br />Permits <br />Charlotte <br />Crockett <br />Re: T.B. <br />X-ray <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />December 18, 1947 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Health was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, <br />on Thursday afternoon, December 18, 1947, at 3:00 p.m. <br />There were present Chairman McQuillan, Messrs. Russell, <br />and Lamont. <br />In the matter of the Nursery School, 2325 Massa- <br />chusetts Avenue, Lexington, the Health Inspector <br />reported a septic tank of only 200 gallons had been <br />installed whereas a 300 gallon tank is required by <br />law. Sand was used for filling 200 feet of drainage <br />instead of 2" stone as required by law. Upon motion <br />duly made and seconded it was voted to instruct the <br />Health Inspector to inform the builder that the sand <br />must be removed and replaced with stone, and a 300 <br />gallon tank installed. <br />The Board received a report of the Health Inspector. <br />The Board signed permits granting transportation <br />of garbage in Lexington. <br />There was a discussion about the matter of <br />connecting houses in the North Lexington section of <br />the Town with the public sewer and it was decided to <br />contact the Board of Selectmen in connection with this <br />subject. <br />The Board discussed the advisability of having a <br />Board of Health consisting of more than three membdrs <br />and it was decided to discuss this matter with the <br />Board of Selectmen. <br />Mrs. Charlotte Crockett and Miss Mary Mullens, <br />associated with the Middlesex Health Association, <br />appeared before the Board to explain in detail the <br />program to be followed in the proposed X-ray T. B. <br />survey in Lexington. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />1 <br />1 <br />
