Boarding Home McDonnell to Mdsx. Complaint Re: Dumping Health Depot R.L.Mc- Quillen elected Chairman BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING September 18, 1947 A meeting of the Board of Health was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Thursday, September 18, 1947 at 4:00 p.m. Messrs. Russell, McQuillan and Lamont were present. The Agent was also present. Application was received from Mrs. Sara E. Bick- ford, 82 Waltham Street for a renewal of her license to maintain a boarding home for infants. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted that the application be approved and the license renewed. Application was received from Dr. Francis p. Dawson, Superintendent of the Middlesex County San- atorium, for re -admission of Louis McDonnell, 28 Vine Street, Lexington. Mr. McDonnell was a patient at the Sanatorium from September 28, 1942 through February 4, 1944, and has a Lexington settlement. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to approve the application. Letter was received from Hugh Stubbins, Jr., 103 Pleasant Street, Lexington registering a complaint of the dumping between Watertown Street and Route 2. Mr. Lamont reported that he has posted "No Dumping" sigmas in this area, but someone has removed them. He agreed to check'the matter further and obtain new signs. Letter was received from C. Raymond Reed, 1721 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington requesting that his drug store be designated as a Board of Health Depot. The Board decided that inasmuch as Martin's drug store has maintained a depot for a number of years, and the stares are so closely located, that there is no justification in establishing two dis- tributing points. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to elect Mr. R. L. McQuillan as Chairman for the Board of Health for a period expiring June, 1948. CrA S"r? 1
