Open Session Minutes
March 22, 2018
A Meeting of the Board of Assessors was held on March 22,2018 at 5:00 p.m.in the Reed Meeting Room of the Town Hall
Office Building.
In attendance: Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, Casimir Groblewski, Member, Robert F. Lent,
Director of Assessing, Michael Golden,Assistant Assessor/Residential Field Manager and Sandra Pentedemos,
Administrative Assessor.
The Chairman, Gregory Johnson called the Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Open Session
Public Comment Time: There were no attendees.
There were no discussions of Financial Issues including Overlay Fund.
Chairman Johnson made a motion that the Board of Assessors go into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to
deliberate Fiscal Year 2018 Statutory Exemption Applications, Real Estate Abatement Applications, and Personal Property
Abatement Applications since deliberation in Open Session would be detrimental.
The Board voted, 3-0 in favor to go into Executive Session at 5:15 p.m.

Upon motion duly made and seconded,the Board of Assessors adjourned the Executive Session at 7:10 p.m. and returned to
Open Session of the Meeting.
Open Session
The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of one denial of a Fiscal Year 2018 Property Tax Deferral and approving of the
remaining Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 5 various Clauses of Statutory Exemption applications.

The Board unanimously voted 3-0 in favor of eleven denials of the Fiscal Year 2018 Real Estate Abatements,one denial of
the Fiscal Year 2018 Personal Property Abatement,and approving of the remaining Fiscal Year 2018 Chapter 59, Section 59
Real Estate Abatements with the exception that Greg Johnson had abstained from the vote of two real properties and Casimir
Groblewski abstained from one of the real properties. (See list in Executive folder).
There were no Appellate Tax Board litigations to discuss.
There was no review or discussion of previous held Meeting Minutes.
The Board of Assessors next Meeting will be held on March 27,2018 at 4:00 p.m.
There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 7:20 p.m.to adjourn the Meeting.
