Lexington Housing Partnership <br /> Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, March 20, 2018 <br /> Attendees: Harriet Cohen, Mary Haskell, Paul Linton, Wendy Manz, Rich McDonough, Bob Pressman, <br /> Melinda Walker, Betsey Weiss <br /> Guests: Melanie Thompson <br /> Absent: Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti,Jeri Foutter <br /> The meeting was chaired by Melinda Walker and minutes were taken by Harriet Cohen.The meeting <br /> was called to order at 7:38 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of minutes of February 20,2018 <br /> Approval of the February 2018 minutes was postponed, pending updates to the minutes. <br /> 2. Continued discussion of Article 42: Citizen's Article: "Special Permit Residential Developments" <br /> The members expressed concern that developers would not see sufficient financial incentives to <br /> build special permit residential developments rather than building housing according to by-right <br /> zoning.A specific concern is that the requirement for accessible housing poses substantial additional <br /> burdens on the developer.The Partnership recommends that Mr. Daggett or the Planning Board <br /> obtain input from developers, who are key stakeholders in this proposal, be included in the process <br /> to help determine financial viability. <br /> Ms. Weiss volunteered to draft a statement capturing the points raised at the meeting. She will send <br /> the proposed statement to the Partnership.The Partnership will meet to vote on the statement. <br /> Ms. Walker will find out when Article 42 will be discussed at Town Meeting.That will help to <br /> determine the date of the next meeting. <br /> 3. Discussion of Article 10j: "Lowell Street/Farmview Affordable Housing Supplemental Funds." <br /> The request is for additional funding to construct the six housing units on Lowell Street. <br /> 4. Update on National Development's proposal for"senior housing"/Mr. McDonough <br /> Mr. McDonough did not have an update on the proposal. <br /> 5. Discussion: LHP& Foundation Planning/Board Appointments <br /> This agenda item has been tabled until a subsequent meeting. <br /> 6. Report on LexHAB/Mr. Pressman <br /> LexHAB has purchased an additional unit at Emerson Gardens.The BOS approved spending not <br /> more than $420,000 for the unit. <br /> 7. Any other affordable housing issues of note <br /> There were no additional housing issues. <br /> 8. New Business <br /> There was no new business. <br /> 9.
