Wendy Heiger-Bernays, PhD, served as Chair Person. <br /> Director Cody reviewed the Community Health Report; <br /> Mental Health First Aid(MHFA) and Youth Mental Health First Aid(YMHFA) classes continue to be offered to <br /> members of the community, Lexington Public Schools teachers and staff and faith-based organizations in Lexington. <br /> Training have been scheduled free-of-charge upon request. Upcoming training dates include; May 3rd, March 7th, March <br /> 14th, and March 21s` <br /> A kiosk for over the counter and prescription medications and a kiosk for medical sharps will be located outside of the <br /> rear entrance to the Lexington Town Offices Building and will supplement the existing medical waste collection program <br /> offered by Lexington Office of Public Health. Rebecca Caruso, Lexington rDNA Consultant, will draft a safety spill plan <br /> that will be implemented for the kiosks. <br /> Rebecca Caruso, Lexington rDNA Consultant, met with the BOH to review the annual inspections for each recombinant <br /> DNA permit holder within the Town of Lexington. Ms. Caruso noted that the inspections of all Lexington facilities were <br /> excellent, and rDNA is a growing field in Lexington. <br /> Health Educator Michaela Scutti,met with the BOH, and reviewed the spot checks for Lexington tobacco retailers. Ms. <br /> Scutti visited the 13 Tobacco Sales establishments. She noted that 6 of the establishments had blunt wraps,which are <br /> prohibited in Lexington. <br /> Environmental Health report was reviewed and the following topics were discussed; <br /> Taipei Gourmet had 3 critical and 4 non-critical violations at an inspection that took place on December 27, 2017. At a re- <br /> inspection that took place on January 11, 2018 the establishment had 3 critical and 3 non-critical violations. The <br /> establishment owner has hired Maureen Lee, Food Service Solutions. <br /> 287 Waltham Street; A Second Notice, Order to Correct letter was issued on January 12, 2018. The Health Director has <br /> met with the property owner(See December 20, 2017 meeting minutes for more details). <br /> Building Material-update; the Board reviewed the Building Standards for Health Protection Memorandum drafted by <br /> Chair, Wendy Heiger-Bernays, PhD. After much discussion this was continued to the next scheduled BOH meeting. <br /> MPE Update and Discussion; John J. Flynn, reviewed information for calculating maximum permissible exposure of RF. <br /> It was in agreement with previous findings. <br />
