We made our proposition through P.1r.Bacon who <br />brought us back word that she accepted it. We had the title looked up at <br />an expense of ti} 30. and also, at Mrs Foster's request had the papers dralrk, <br />Now Mrs Foster state; that in as much as the amount we shall get out of <br />the ,town or state is going to be considerable, she cannot get along with <br />out a larger cash payment than we agreed for or are willing to give. We <br />told her what you said about our giving the land but she scoffed at the <br />idea and evidently has it in mind now to make someone pay well.
