HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-10-25LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS October 25, 1984 The Board held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at 7:45 P.M. Present for the photograph for the 1984 Annual Town Report were: Regular Members: Chairman Thomas G. Taylor, Robert M. Gary, Anne R. Scigliano and Clarence D. Turner; Associate Members: Susan S. Beck, Eric T. Clarke, William C. Hays and Mary W. Miley; and Administrative Clerk Evelyn F. Cole. Pursuant to notice in the Lexington Minute -man, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town, published on September 27 and October 4, 1984 and notice sent by mail, postage prepaid, to all interested parties pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, public hearings were held in the Town Office Building on the petitions listed below. Acting on the petitions were: Chairman Thomas G. Taylor, Robert M. Gary, Anne R. Scigliano, Clarence D. Turner and Associate Member Eric T. Clarke. 68 Farmcrest Ave., Raymond M. and Regina L. Carberry requested a variance of.dimensional controls (Section 7.1 and Table 2) to complete construction of a proposed expanded front entryway. (A hearing was held on Sept. 20. Petitioner asked for a further public hearing at which time he would have further information.) 1666 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington Square Trust requested a special permit for a standing sign, pursuant to ZBL Sections 10.4.4c and 10.1.4). 265 Lowell St., Fairlawn Nursing Home, Inc. requested a special permit for a standing sign, pursuant to ZBL Sections 10.4.4c and 10.1.4, to replace an existing sign. ' 10 Maguire Rd., Itek Corp. requested a special permit, pursuant to ZBL Section 3.4 and other related sections to allow additions for the following uses: research and testing laboratories, manufacturing, processing or storing goods and materials as related to research and testing activities, and such accessory uses to permit same, pursuant to ZBL Table 1, lines 7.2, 8.14 and 8.15. 10 Maguire Rd., Itek Corp, requested a variance from Section 7, dimensional controls, to allow the maximum height of an addition, identified as the "M" wing to be fifty- nine (59) feet. 10 Maguire Rd., Itek Corp. requested a special permit to reserve an area for future parking spaces, required by Section 11.3 for new building additions. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. 68 Farmcrest Ave. - Variance granted by vote of 4 to 1 (Mr. Turner voting in the negative). 1666 Mass. Ave. - SP granted, unanimously. 265 Lowell St. - SP granted, unanimously. 10 Maguire Rd. - SPS granted, unanimously (for additions). 10 Maguire Rd. - Variance granted, unanimously (height of "M" building). 10 Maguire Rd. - SP for future parking granted unanimously.
