HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-11-03LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS November 3, 1983 The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at 7:30 P.M. Present and acting on petitions were: Thomas G. Taylor, Chairman Natalie H. Riffin, Vice Chairman Robert M. Gary Clarence D. Turner Eric T. Clarke, Associate Public hearings were held on the following petitions. 33 Barberry Rd., Frances & David Grey requested a variance of dimensional controls (Section 7 & Table 2) so that a carport may be constructed. 364 Waltham St., R.T. Fitzsimmons & Margaret M. Benson requested a variance of dimensional controls (Section 7 & Table 2) to add a deck. 9 Ward St., Shirley A. Borella requested a variance of side yard dimensional dontrols, ZBL Section 7.4.1 b, to construct a house at 9 Ward St. 1265 Mass. Ave., Seasons Four requested special permits for 1983 and 1984, during the Christmas Season, as follows: (1) to sell Christmas trees and wreaths in their nursery yard and (2) for extended opening hours, Nov. 10 to Dec. 23; Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. ' At 8:00 p.m., between hearings, a photographer took photographs of the Board for the Annual Town Report (1983). In addition to the members listed above the following Associate Members of the Board were present for the picture taking: Jonathan P. Doran, William C. Hays, John J. McWeeney and Laurence K. Redgate. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. 33 Barberry Rd. - variance denied by vote of 4 to 1, Natalie H. Riffin voting in favor. 365 Waltham St. - variance denied, unanimously. 1265 Mass. Ave. - SP's granted unanimously. 9 Ward St. - variance granted unanimously. Other: Bonnie Carlson and Lee Nason of the N.E. Telephone & Telegraph Co. were present to announce that the Telephone Co. were not going to enlarge their building on Waltham Street and therefore the permits granted by the Board would not be used.
