HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-07-28LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS July 28, 1983 The Board held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at 7:30 p.m. Present and acting on petitions were: Thomas G. Taylor, Chairman Natalie H. Riffin, Vice Chairman Associates: Jonathan P. Doran Anne R. Scigliano Clarence D. Turner Public hearings were held on the following petitions. 7A Meriam St., LaTienda Sister City Store d/b/a LaTienda Mexican shop requested a special permit (ZBL Section 10.4.3) to install a projecting sign (CB zone). 1666 Mass. Ave., Galo P. Emerson, Jr. requested special permits for food service operations at "Lexington Square" (CB zone), requesting seating for 72 persons and carry out service (ZBL Sec Uon -.3 S Table 1, lines 6.12 & 6.14). Request to hold hearing at a later date granted. Hearing readvertised for 9/8. 261 Marrett Rd., David A. Souers requested a variance of dimensional controls to construct an energy conserving enclosure for a front porch. 915 Waltham St., Texaco, Inc, requested a special permit to continue to operate the premises as a gasoline station (CN zone). (reference ZBL 3.3 & Table 1, line 5.1). 915 Waltham St., Texaco, Inc, requested a special permit to install a standing sign (ZBL Sec. 10.4.5). 73 Waltham St., New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. requested a variance of Table 2 dimensional controls (side yard 13' instead of 20') in order to construct an addi- tion to the existing 2 -story telephone switching station at 73 Waltham St. in CB zone. 73 Waltham St., N.E. Tel & Tel. Co. requested a special permit for extension of an existing non -conforming use and structure, 18' instead of 20' from side lot line (ref. ZBL Sec. 6.3) and a Special Permit for use (ZBL Table 1, line 2.3). Decisions filed with.the Town Clerk. 7A-Meriam-St. - SP granted unanimously. 261 Marrett Rd. - Variance granted unanimously. 915 Waltham St. SP for gas station granted unanimously. - SP ,for sign granted unanimously. 73 Waltham St. - SP to extend or enlarge telephone exchange building, SP to extend the use into the proposed addition. Variance in order to construct an addition to its existing 2 -story telephone switching station. (side yard 13' instead of 20'). ALL decisions unanimous.
