HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-12-16TOWN OF LEXINGTON BOARD OF APPEALS December 16, 1982 The Board held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. Present and acting on petitions: Woodruff M. Brodhead, Chairman Natalie H. Riffin, Vice Chairman Irving H. Mabee Robert M. Gary Thomas G. Taylor Public hearings were held on the following petitions, beginning at 7:30 p.m.: 420-430 Bedford St., Mortimer B. Zuckerman & Edward H. Linde, Trustees of Elandzee Trust (by Robert Swett) requested a special permit to erect and maintain one double faced standing, non -illuminated sign (41x14') to identify the Lexington office Park. 17 Fairview Avenue, George P. and Ann K. Changelian requested a variance of dimen- sional controls (ZBL Sec. 7 & Table 2) to allow an addition, which will have a side yard of 9.9' instead of 101, to be added to the residence at 17 Fairview Ave. 20 North Hancock St., J.J.G. McCue requested a variance of dimensional controls (ZBL Sec. 7 & Table 2) to allow an addition to the non -conforming dwelling. Addition will have a 10' instead of 12' side yard. 640 Marrett Rd., Richard F. Perry, d/b/a Woodhaven Realty Co. requested a variance of dimensional controls (ZBL Sec. 7'& Table 2) to divide one lot into two lots, each to have lot area of 14,544 sq. ft. instead of the required 15,500 sq. ft. The lot is located at 640 Marrett Rd. at the corner of Lincoln St. 150 Ekst St., Doran Greenhouses, Inc. requested special permits to continue operation of a roadside stand for the sale of flowers, plants and other nursery and farm goods on the premises; the applicant also requests permission to sell Christmas trees, wreaths, etc. in the appropriate season. Ref. ZBL Table 1, lines 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 & 3.5; Section 5.5 and any other applicable provisions. 748 Waltham St., Manuel G. Rose, Jr. requested a special permit (Table 1, line 9.1) to continue the operation of the shop for the purpose of light repairs to vehicles and ornamental welding. 399 Lowell St., Dennis Dyer requested special permits (ZBL Sec. 3.3) for a restaurant, fast food and take out food (Table 1, lines 6.12, 6.13 & 6.14) for the Lexington House of Pizza. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. Most decisions contain conditions. Please see the decisions for details. All decisions were unanimous. 420-430 Bedford St. - SP granted. 17 Fairview Ave. - V granted. 20 No. Hancock St. - V granted. 640 Marrett Rd. - V granted. (2 lots became 640 Marrett,Rd. & 311 Ai.ncoln St.) 150 East St. - SP's granted (Nursery & supplementary items, roadside stand and Christmas trees, wreaths, etc.) -to 12/31/84. 748 Waltham St. - SP granted (expiration date: 12/16/83) 399 Lowell St. - SP granted.
