Cole BOARD OF APPEALS May 24, 1979 The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room beginning at 7:30 p.m. Present: Ruth Morey, Chairman Woodruff.M. Brodhead, Vice Chairman Irving H. Mabee Thomas G. Taylor George P. Wadsworth, past chairman Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. 927 Waltham St.,,Nicholas A. Cannalonga (Wagon Wheel Nursery and Garden Center) - renewal of special permit to continue to store and sell in conjunction with the operation of a nursery at 927 Waltham St., all of the supplementary items specified in subsection 24.5 and for the sale of Christmas trees, wreaths, etc. in season. 736 Massachusett$ Ave., John R. Holt - special permit to use a portion of his residence as an insurance broker. A conditional special permit was granted for use of the same premises for a law office. 9 Myrna Rd., William J. Young - variance to build a garage. ' Avon St. (Map 7% Lot 45), Lexington Housing Authority - variance of minimum side - yard requirement for construction of a single family dwelling by or for LHA. Subject property comprises one tax title lot and is further identified as a portion of Site No. 16C under the IRA's Scattered Sites Housing Program. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. 927 Waltham St. - granted unanimously (expires 4/24/81). 736 Mass. Ave. - granted with conditions. (unanimous) 9 Myrna Rd. - granted unanimously. Avon St. - granted unanimously. The Board discussed meeting dates. It was unanimously agreed to keep Thursday evenings for Board hearings. Miley, Chairman of Board of Selectmen states that Natalie H. Riffin has been appointed to a 5 -year term, expiring May 31, 1984. Also Robert V. Whitman appointed Associate Member. Reappointments: Robert A. Bowyer, Eric T. Clarke, Robert M. Gary, William J. Scouler and Clarence D. Turner, all for one-year terms expiring May 31, 1980. Riffin as a member of the Board of Appeals for a five -yeah' term expiring May 31, 1984. The Board also voted to appoint Robert V. Whitman as an Associate Member and to reappoint Robert A. Bowyer, Eric T. Clarke, Robert M. Gary, William J. Scouler and Clarence D. Turner as Associate Members for one-year terms expiring May 31, 1980. Each appdintee has been requested to call at the office of the Town Clerk to be sworn to the faithful performance of his duties.
