HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-09-14BOARD OF APPEALS September 14, 1978 The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room beginning at 7:30 p.m. Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman Ruth Morey Woodruff M. Brodhead Thomas G. Taylor Robert M. Bowyer, Associate Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. 7 Nowers Rd., Richard S. Townsend - for a change in the original variance granted by the Board on Jan. 15, 1953 so that now a one-story frame addition may be con- structed. This addition will be more than 10 ft. from the side property line and will conform with other dimensional controls. 4 Weston St., Claude and Marlene K. Sigel - variance to maintain existing dwelling as located. Cedar and Denver Streets 136 Cedar St., Harvey W. Newgent and Jean P. Newgent - variance to allow the com- bining of 5 parcels of land at the corner of Cedar and Denver Streets into two buildable lots. Petitioners wish to combine Lots 41 & 42 (also shown as Lot A) ' having total frontage of 50' on Cedar St. hand total area of 6,013 sq. ft. and also to combine Lots 38, 39 & 40 (also shown as Lot B) having frontage of 43' on Cedar St. and 125' on Denver St. with an area of 7,553 sq. ft. 40 Fern St. (subdivision), Meadowland Association, Inc. - variance from the 125' frontage requirement on Lots A & C so that the subdivision plan submitted to the Planning Board which subdivides the land into four lots can take place. Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. 7 Nowers Rd. - unanimously granted with conditions. 4 Weston St. - unanimously granted with conditions. 136 Cedar St. - unanimously denied. 40 Fern St. - withdrawn.
