The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, May 11, 1981
beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room.
Present: Ruth Morey (acting chairman)
Irving H. Mabee
Thomas G. Taylor
William J. Scouler, Associate
Robert M. Gary
Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings
having been mailed and advertised as required by statute.
38 Robbins Road, Irving S and Mary Ann Lippert - variance to enclose a rear porch;
to remove covered front porch and steps and construct a new front porch and steps;
and to build a second floor addition over an existing sun room, with setbacks of
rear yard of 7.1 feet and front yard of 23 feet. Existing house is a legal non-
conforming structure.
110 Woburn Street, Sheila A. Elamin - variance to build a wooden shed to be located
to the rear side of the existing house. The proposed shed, which will be less than..
3' from the lot line and have insufficient setback from a secondary street will
replace a small metal shed. The lot and buildings are non -conforming.
11 Harrington Road, Alan D. and Sharon M. Bedford - special permit to convert to
a two-family house.
Decisions: The Board made the following decisions: (See decisions filed with Town
Clerk for details.)
38 Robbins Rd. - granted unanimously with conditions.
110 Woburn. St. - granted unanimously with conditions.
11 Harrington Rd. - denied, by vote of 2 to 3, as follows:
To deny: Ruth Morey, Irving H. Mabee and Robert M. Gary.
In favor: Thomas G. Taylor and William J. Scouler.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
