HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-02-24M BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS February 24, 1955 A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, Tuesday, February 24, 1955• At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following petitions: Frederick L. Yeomans - to divide a parcel of land at the west- erly end of Columbus St. and to erect a single family dwelling on Lot "A". George E. Smith - to erect a building of second-class construc- tion, stant.ially as located on the plot plan submitted, for the pur- pose of using a portion of the building as an office of a builder and for the storage of building supplies; and the other portion for the storage and distribution of newspapers, and for materials and supplies used by the petitioner in his business. William H. Marshall - to use the land and the buildings there numbered 315 to 319 Marrett Road, as "place of business of a baker." Frank E. Dea - to change the existing lot line between lots 16 ' and 17 numbered r -T red 13and 110 Pleasant St. Walter C. Boone - to maintain an office for the practice of chiropody at h1s rest ence 112 Bedford St. Mass. Institute of Technology - to erect a steel building at 238 Wood St. At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during which the following decisions were reached: Frederick L. Yeomans - Denied George E. Smith - granted, subject to the following conditions: (1) that no supplies or materials of any kind shall be stored outside the building. (2) that no mill work of any description shall be performed on the premises. Said building to be located at rear of 10 Muzzey St. William H. Marshall - granted, subject to the following conditions: (1) that all objectional odors shall be controlled and eliminated as far as possible. (2) that all signs on the premises shall conform with the Town of Lexington By-laws. (3) that there shall be noflood lighting of the premises. (4) that the retail business shall not be operated on 3ua- days. (5) that the cars of employees shall be parked in the rear of the ' building. Frank E. Dea - Granted 30 �c Walter C. Boone g'r'anted, subject to the following conditions: (1) that every effort shall be made to have patients park cars in his driveway and not on Bedford St.; (2) this Permit shall expire April 1, ' 1956.
