HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-10-01259 BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS October 1, 195 A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on October 1, 1953. At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following petitions: Elementary School Facilities Committee -Fiske School - to vary the provisions or the Lexington Building By-law by elim ting fire doors on the proposed addition to the Fiske School located on land lying between Adams Street and Colony Road. Frank K. Bishop - to erect a greenhouse 10' x 11' attached to existing dwelling 'it #9 Fuller Rd. in accordance with the plot plan submitted. Louis Massi - to erect a single family dwelling on Lot 12 located at 350 a m . Clifton F. Barrows - to erect a single car garage at #15 Hill St. John C. Gillon - to operate an auto tune-up and minor repair shop in atwo-car garage of fire -proof construction at the rear of #363 Massachusetts Ave. between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Elliott W. Lloyd - to erect a carport attached to the existing dwelling a,rescent Hill Ave. which will have a sideyard of 6' instead of the 73g' required. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held dur- ing which the following decisions were reached: Elementary School Facilities Committee - Granted with a recom- mendation that conduits be installed in the proposed addition for a thermal fire alarm system. Frank K. Bishop - Granted Louis Masai - Granted Clifton F. Barrows - Granted John C. Gillon - Granted subject to the following conditions: 1) that no assistants shall be employed; 2) that there shall be no sales of auto accessories; 3) that the work shall be performed only between the hours of 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and Sat- urday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 4) that there shall be no unnecessary noise and that the property shall be kept in a neat and orderly condi- tion; 5) that this Permit shall expire August 1, 1954.
