HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-03-061 U Board of Appeals Hearings March 6, 1953 The Lexington Board of Appeals held a meeting in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on March 6, 1953• Chairman Locke, Messrs. Ripley, Emery, Redman and Ballard were present. The clerk was also present. At 8:00 p.m. public hearings were opened on the following petitions: Malcolm G. Dunnan - to erect a Catalina Model Home, size 6, full basement a tions , breezeway and two -car garage on Lot A2, North St. Western Real Estate Trustees - to make the alterations at 1737 Mass. Ave. shown on the plans su mitted, eliminating sprinklers on the first floor as required under Article 8, Sec. 2, C and F of the Lexing- ton Building By-laws. S. Arthur Peterson - to erect a greenhouse, 40x200 on his property at 544 LoweTT St. Lexin n Historical Society - to attach to the present building a conservatory 6W.51 at the prope y located at 1332 Mass. Ave. Anthony R. Cataldo - to use the existing building at 703 Mass. Ave. for the processing, warehousing and selling of fresh fruits and vegetables. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held with the following decisions being made: Malcolm G. Dmnnan - granted Western Real Estate Trustees - granted subject to the following conditions: 1. that an emergency exit door not less than three feet wide be provided in the rear wall of the new addition; 2. that at such time as the paved roadway and parking area is provided at the rear of the store, that the existing door in the rear of the existing building be changed to a double door, the size equal to those provided in the front of the build- ing. S. Arthur Peterson - granted Lexington Historical Society - granted Anthony R. Cataldo - granted subject to the following conditions: That the permission hereby granted shall be for the term of one year, ex- piring on March 10,1954; that no by-products from the use nor materials used shall be stored outside the building; that the building shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition.
