HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-07-13L BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS July 13, 1950 A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, July 13, 1950. At 8:00 p.m. ` hearings were declared open on the following petitions: Loreto Visco - to continue the operation of the existing Golf Driving 79FEe-7Toca ed on a portion of the land formerly awned by the estate of Howard W. Munroe on Lowell St., adjacent to Countryside, Inp. The permit to extend for the period of one year. Carmelo Galvagno - to subdivide the property numbered 64, 66 and 68 o rn St. according to plans submitted. Mabel J. Verity - to erect a single-family dwelling and garagel on lot 102-1 ve., said lot having a frontage of 75 ft. and al total area of approx. 30,000 sq.ft. Auu t Schumacher - to level a knoll to grade of surrounding land locatied withinthe area of petitioner's farm, which consists of i approx. 45 acres. Harris Goodwin - to sell excess loam from lot at 82 Grant St.` ' Petitioners excavate approx. 700 yds. of loam from the land, sel ing approx. 500 yds. and keeping approx. 200-300 yds for his personal use. At the close of the hearings an executive session was held dat- ing which the following decisions were reached: Loreto Visco - granted Carmelo Galvagno - granted Mabel J. Verity - granted August Schumacher - granted, subject to the condition that tori soil is to be removed and piled, later to be respread on area removed within a reasonable time. Material removed is to be used in the con.* struction of Rte. 128. The petitioner is to give a bond for the faith- ful performance of this work, in an amount satisfactory to the Town Engineer of Lexington. Harris Goodwin - granted, subject to the condition that excav4ted spot to be filled in with gravel and loam to be spread over it to a depth of not less.than 6 inches. Muriel C. Stone, Clerk G 399
