BOAEU OF APPEALS HEARINGS
March 30, 1950
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's:
Room, Town Office Building, on March 30, 1950. Chairman Locke,
Messrs. Ripley, Buffy, Ballard, Lynah were present. The clerk was
also present.
At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following
petitions:
Board of Selectmen. and Board of Fire Engineers for permission'
to erect a new fire station on the site of the existing fire station;
located at 1006 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, under the provisions
of Section b, R.1 and R.2 Districts, subsection 6(d) and Section 9
of the Lexington Zoning By-law.
Five applications of the Gil Wyner Company for permission to
erect various temporary buildings at various locations in Lexington
in connection with the construction of the new Route 128.
No one was present on behalf of the Gil Wyner Company for the:
hearings.
No formal hearing was held, but there were several persons.
present who indicated that they would have questions in connection
with these buildings.
Mr. Locke dictated a letter to the clerk of the Board to be
addressed Gil Wyner Company as follows:

Lexington, Massachusetts
Attention: Mr. L. H. Moore
Gentlemen:
Since no one appeared on behalf of the Gil Wyner Company,
at the hearings scheduled for 8:15 p.m. on March 30, 1950, and
since questions by persons attending the hearings could not be
answered, the Board was unable to consider your petitions.
It will be necessary for you to file new applications on
receipt of which new hearings will be advertised.
