HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-07-22BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS 1 July 22, 1948 A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on July 22, 1948- Chairman Locke, Messrs. Redman, Rich, Duffy, and Hondlette were present. The clerk was also present. At 8:10 p.m. hearing was declared open upon the petitions of the following: William Neal for permission to use the building located at 16 Curve Street for storing and lettering tracks and carrying ona sign business. Milton C. Shaw for permission to erect, at 147 Grant Stree4, a one -car garage which would not have the required setback or side yard. Shell Oil Co.for permission to erect one 48 -inch neon sign! on a pole at 286 Lincoln Street, Lexington. The hearings were declared closed at 8:47 p.m. and the fo14 ' lowing decisions reached in executive session: William Neal - denied Milton Shaw - denied Shell Oil Co. - granted The members of the Board expressed their regret at the pas$ing of John Hilton Brown, member of the Board of Appeals.
