Lexington Town Records <br /> 1748 - 1779 <br /> This may certify that I have examined the following <br /> record and believe it to be a true copy - <br /> Albert if. Bryant Town Clerk <br /> Lexington March 5th 1853 <br /> Then the above named Albert W Bryant personally <br /> appeared and made oath as above certified before <br /> me Royal B Willis <br /> Justice of the Peace <br /> Also.. An order for Decon Stone for his service <br /> as assessor in 1747., three pounds old tennor. <br /> Also.. Past an other order to ye Treasuer to pay <br /> Decon Stone Seventeen pounds two shillings for <br /> bording ye school master nine weeks from ye <br /> eighteenth of Septemberto ye Eighteenth of Nov- <br /> ember. <br /> Also-, Past an order to pay ye Wido Hannah Ester- <br /> brooks twenty pounds five shilings for bording <br /> ye school master from ye eighteenth of November <br /> to ye eighteenth January. <br /> Also.. Past an order to pay Isaac Bowman fifteen <br /> pounds fifteen shilings for bording ye school <br /> master nine weeks from ye eighteenth of July to <br /> ye eighteenth of Septembr. <br /> Also.. Past an order,to ye Treasurer to pay Mr <br /> Vathle Robbins Thirty Seven pounds ten shillings, <br /> it being ye second payment for his keeping ye <br /> school for ye year 1748,. <br /> Also.. Ordering ye Clerk to send an account to <br /> ye Treasuer what money each Constable had in <br /> his list to colect and gather. <br /> Also., Past an Prder to the Treasuer to pay ye <br /> Survairs accounts yt is to say. <br /> Benja. Browns account amounting to Six pounds, <br /> five shilings I <br /> 1 9illm. Grimes account amounts to Eight pounds <br /> Eleven shilings <br /> Marrat Munroes account amounts to Thirteen <br /> pounds three shilings <br /> Samle, Bidges account amounting to Fourteen <br /> pounds nine shillings.Eigh Pent <br /> Att a Meeting of the Selectmen February 13 1749..9 <br /> Then Ordered ye worronts to goo out for March <br /> Meeting. <br /> l.. To chuse Town officers for y9 year as ye Agreed <br /> law directs. upon ye <br /> 2,..To see if ye Town will allow swine to goo Articles <br /> at large yeyear ensuing. for March <br /> 3.. To see if the Town will sell ye bridge Meeting <br /> farme so ' called, or do arty thing relating <br /> thareunto.. <br /> 4*. To chuse a sealer of waits and measures in <br /> said Town <br /> 5.. To see if ye Town will releve Capt Benja. <br /> Reed and Mr. Benja. Smith from their agreement <br /> relating to bulding a pound in said Town. <br /> 6,. Upon ye request of Davide Cutler, Jonathan <br /> Lawrance, Jonathan Herrington, late Constables. <br /> To see if ye Town.will make their allownce for <br /> serving as Constelble, as good as when ten <br /> shilings was granted to a Constable for sd <br /> Town for their service as Constable. <br /> 7..
