<br />Minutes of the <br />Lexington Capital Expenditures Committee (CEC) Meeting <br />January 25, 2017 (Executive-Session Summit) <br />Location and Time: <br /> Hadley Public Services Building, Cafeteria; 7:00 .. <br />PM <br />Members Present: <br /> Jill Hai, ChairDavid Kanter, Vice-Chair & Clerk; Rod Cole; <br />; <br />Wendy Manz <br />Member Absent: <br /> Charles Lamb <br />Others Present: <br />(See the Board of Selectmen (BoS) Minutes of this Summit for the Others <br />Present) <br />Document Presented <br />: Notice of BoS Meeting with the CEC, the Lexington Appropriation <br />Committee, and the Lexington School Committee, January 25, 2017 <br />Call to Order: <br /> Ms. Hai called this Committee’s meeting to order at 7:15 .. and this <br />PM <br />Committee joined the Summit. <br />At 7:15 .., Suzanne Barry, Chair, BoS, declared that an Executive Session is warranted <br />PM <br />under the Open Meeting Law Exemption 6 to consider the purchase, exchange, lease or <br />value of real property (20 Pelham Road) as the discussion in an Open Meeting may have a <br />detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Town. She moved to go into Executive <br />Session with the others present with the intention to reconvene in an Open Session only to <br />adjourn. The BoS members were individually polled (Vote: 3–0) so the BoS was in <br />Executive Session. <br />Ms. Hai declared, as the Chair, that an Executive Session of this Committee was warranted <br />for the same reason and intention as declared by Ms. Barry and individually polled the <br />members (Vote: 4–0) and Ms. Hai declared this Committee was in Executive Session. <br />(See the BoS Minutes of this Summit for this Committee’s further participation in the <br />Summit.) <br />At 8:17 .., Ms. Barry moved for the BoS to return to Open Session only to adjourn. The <br />PM <br />BoS members were individually polled (Vote: 3–0) so the BoS was in Open Session. <br />Ms. Hai made the same motion, individually polled the members (Vote: 4–0), and declared <br />this Committee was in Open Session. <br />Adjourn: <br />A Motion was made and seconded at 8:18 .. to adjourn this Committee. <br />PM <br />Vote: 4–0 <br />These Minutes were approved, and also authorized for public release, by the CEC at its <br />meeting on January 31, 2017. <br />
