Approval of Minutes • Joanne made a motion, second by Susan to approve the October 18, 2023 meeting minutes- motion approved. II. Public Health Initiatives • Joanne previously advised that Lexington holds a Public Health Week in April and they would like to do a presentation relative to women’s health on endometrial cancer. They would like to show the documentary “Below the Belt” on endometrial cancer with a surgeon and one of the producers from the documentary present to answer questions. There is a showing fee associated with the documentary in the amount of approximately $5K to show the film to between 150-200 people and help promote the event. Residents from all three towns in the shared services group would be invited and this health education night would incorporate health equity for women’s’ health and improve resident health in the PHE municipalities. All felt this would be an excellent use of PHE funds and this would fall under the PHE Grant section of Health Communication. • Susan advised that Mental Health First Aid is scheduled for April 23, 2024 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. All Shared Services Staff and office staff from Burlington, Lexington, and Wilmington are welcome to attend. • Rashod will be out for surgery starting December 18, 2023. • Jackie completed the Catch My Breath training. III. Program Updates • Stop the Bleed, Catch My Breath, and Hoarding for First Responders are available trainings that can be held by the Shared Services staff. • Jackie could look into becoming a trainer for the Buried Treasure hoarding training. They are currently offering this course in Westford for participants and Chelmsford has held it in the past. It is a 15 week course to become a trainer based on a workbook. Would need to provide workbooks for participants if this course was to be offered. • Katy and Jackie are trained in Matter of Balance classes and are available to assist in Lexington or Wilmington to run a class. • Lexington will need five new tablets and cases. Katie will put a $6K place holder under technology hardware in the budget for this future purchase. . IV. Municipality Updates • Joanne commented that Tahycha is doing a great job in Lexington. • Susan advised Shelly that new user (end user) training for Tyler Tech software will be held from February 26, 2024 to March 1, 2024 if she would like to have anyone from her office attend. Shelly advised that her Food Inspector is part-time and it would be difficult for him to attend this training. Tahycha will be attending this training and could possibly train Shelly. Also, all recordings of the trainings will be available for review. • All Burlington inspections will be on the new software.
