Board of Assessors Meeting <br />Open Session Minutes <br />April 4, 2023 <br />A meeting of the Lexington Board of Assessors was called to order at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in the parker <br />Meeting Room, Town Office Building. Gregory Johnson, Chairman, Edmund C. Grant, Member, and Casimir Groblewski, <br />Member, were present as well as Robert F. Lent, Director of Assessing, Michael E. Golden, Assistant Director of Assessing, <br />Barbara Sird, Residential Inspector/Analyst and Sandra Pentedemos, Administrative Assessor. <br />Open Session <br />Public Comment Time: None present. <br />Mr. Lent informed the Board of contracting Newmark Valuation & Advisory LLC and Tellatin, Inc., dba: Integra Healthcare and Senior Housing <br />for Fee Appraisal reviews of the fiscal year 2023 valuations. Newmark will provide the appraisal of the properties at 53-55 Watertown Street <br />and 1050 Waltham Street. Tellatin, Inc., dba: Integra Healthcare & Senior Housing will provide the appraisal of 178 Lowell Street. <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to adjourn the Open Session of the meeting at <br />4:20 p.m. to enter into Executive Session under Purpose 7 in order to deliberate Fiscal Year 2023 Statutory Exemptions, Real Estate <br />Abatement Applications and Personal Property Abatements. Further it was declared that an open meeting discussion may have a detrimental <br />effect on the litigation position of the town. <br />The Board reconvened Open Session at 6:40 p.m. <br />Executive Session occurred here: details may be viewed in separate Executive Session folder. <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to approve the recommendations for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 Chapter 59, Section 5 Various Statutory Exemption Applications. (See lists in Executive folder). <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to approve the recommendations for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 Chapter 59 Section 59, Real Estate Abatement Applications. (See Executive folder). <br />VOTE: Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board of Assessors voted 3-0 by roll call to approve the recommendations for the Fiscal <br />Year 2023 Chapter 59 Section 59, Personal Property Abatement Applications. (See list in Executive folder). <br />There were no pending Appellate Tax Board actions to discuss. No decisions had to be made. <br />The Board postponed Meeting Minutes. <br />The Board of Assessors next scheduled Meeting will be held on April 18, 2023. <br />There being no other business a motion was duly made and seconded at 6:45 p.m. to adjourn the Meeting. <br />A true record: Attest Sandra Pentedemos, Administrative Assessor <br />Meeting Secretary <br />
