TOWN WARRANT
<br />Commonwealth of Massachusetts,
<br />Middlesex, ss.
<br />To either of the Constables of the town of Lexington, in said County, Greeting :
<br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are
<br />directed.tonotify- the inhabitants of the town of Lexington
<br />qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet at the
<br />Town Hall, in said Lexington, on
<br />Friday, the Fifteenth day of September, A. D., 1911, at 7.30 P. M.
<br />then and there to act on the following articles.—
<br />ART 1. To choose a Moderator at preside in said meeting
<br />ART 2. To hear and act upon the report of any committee ready to report, or appoint other
<br />committees.
<br />ART- 8. To see if the town will make provision to meet the deficiency in the amount provided
<br />for insurance on the property of the town, or act in any manner relating thereto.
<br />ART 4. To authorize the borrowing of money for use of the Board of Water and Sewer
<br />Commissioners in extending water mains and meeting other charges of the Water Department,
<br />and to that end to authorize and provide for the issue and sale of negotiable, interest bearing
<br />bonds of the Town; and to take any other or further action relative to the raising of money
<br />for said purposes or to the issue of bonds or notes therefor
<br />ART 5. To see if the town will vote to take in fee as provided by Sections 47, 48 and 49 of
<br />Chapter 25 of the Revised Laws and Acts in amendment thereof and in addition thereto, any
<br />land within the limits of said town not appropriated to public use and not exceeding two acres
<br />in area for the purpose of erecting thereon a building to be used for a public school, or act

<br />ART 6. To see if the town will vote to take in fee as provided by Sections 47, 48 and 49
<br />of Chapter 25 of the Revised Laws and Acts in amendment thereof and in addition thereto, a
<br />parcel of land not exceeding two acres in area, belonging to Ellen A. Stone and situated in
<br />that part of Lexington known as East Lexington and in the rear and easterly of the land
<br />belonging to the Follen Church and the land of the town on which the Stone Building now
<br />stands, for the purpose of erecting thereon a building to be used for a public school, or act
<br />in any manner relating thereto.
<br />ART 7 To see if the town will vote to appropriate an amount of money equal to the es-
<br />timated cost of a parcel of land about two acres in area situated in that part of Lexington
<br />known as East Lexington, between the parcel of land mentioned in the next proceeding article,
<br />and the location of the Boston & Maine Railroad, or any other land within the limits of the
<br />town. Same to be used and maintained as a public play ground, or act in any manner relat-
<br />ing thereto.
<br />ART 8. To see if the town will vote to take in fee as provided by Sections 19, 20, 21 and 22
<br />of Chapter 28 of the Revised Laws and Acts in amendment thereof and in addition thereto
<br />any land within the limits of the town and maintain the same as a public play ground, or act
<br />in any manner relating thereto.
<br />ART 9. To see if the town will vote to take in fee as provided by Sections 19, 20, 21 and
<br />22 of Chapter 28 of the Revised Laws and Acts in amendment thereof and in addition thereto
<br />a parcel of land about two acres in area belonging to Ellen A. Stone and situated in that part
<br />of Lexington known as East Lexington, between the parcel of land mentioned in Article Three
<br />and the location -of- the- Boston _&_ Maine,_Railroad. The same to be used and maintained as a
<br />public play ground, or act in any manner relating thereto. -- -
<br />Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the
<br />Town Clerk on or before the time of said meeting.
