WARRANT FOR STATE ELECTION <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex , ss . <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County, <br /> Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and <br /> warn the inhabitants of said Town who are qualified to vote in Elections to <br /> meet in their respective voting places in said Town, <br /> PRECINCT ONE, ADAMS SCHOOL; PRECINCT TWO, EAST LEXINGTON FIRE STATION; <br /> PRECINCT THREE, CARY MEMORIAL BUILDING; PRECINCT FOUR, SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL; <br /> PRECINCT FIVE, CENTRAL FIRE STATION; PRECINCT SIX, MARIA HASTINGS SCHOOL on <br /> TUESDAY, THE FOURTH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1958 <br /> at 7:00 o' clock A . M. to cast their ballots for the following officers : <br /> Senator in Congress; Governor; Lieutenant Governor; <br /> Secretary; Treasurer; Auditor; Attorney General; <br /> Representative in Congress; Councillor; Senator; Two <br /> Representatives in General Court; District Attorney, <br /> Clerk of Courts; Register of Deeds; County Commissioner. <br /> VACANCIES <br /> A Register of Probate and Insolvency. <br /> And to take action on the following questions: <br /> QUESTION NO. 1 <br /> LAW PROPOSED BY INITIATIVE PETITION <br /> Do you approve of a law summarized below which was disapproved <br /> in the House of Representatives by a vote of 73 in the affirmative YES <br /> and 132 in the negative and was approved in the Senate by a vote NO <br /> of 21 in the affirmative and 17 in the negative? <br /> Summary <br /> The proposed measure provides that every former public employee , <br /> other than a judge , who is pensioned or retired for disability, shall <br /> report to his retirement authority, annually, his earnings from gainful <br /> occupation during the preceding year; and that, if such earnings, plus <br /> the pension, exceed the regular compensation of the position formerly <br /> held, the pensioner shall refund that portion of his pension equal to <br /> such excess or the entire pension if such excess is greater than the <br /> pension. A refund, if required, shall not include any part of a pension <br /> represented by salary deductions from or special purchase by the former <br /> employee . The requirement of a refund is not applicable to income <br /> received in or prior to 1958 . <br />
