TOWN WARRANT <br /> TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss. <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County, Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify the in- <br /> habitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs, to <br /> meet in their respective voting places in said Town, <br /> PRECINCT ONE, HARRINGTON SCHOOL; PRECINCT TWO, BOWMAN SCHOOL; PRECINCT THREE, BRIDGE <br /> SCHOOL; PRECINCT FOUR, SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL; PRECINCT FIVE, CARY MEMORIAL BUILDING; PRECINCT <br /> SIX, DIAMOND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL; PRECINCT SEVEN, ESTABROOK SCHOOL; PRECINCT EIGHT, FIRE <br /> HEADQUARTERS BUILDING; PRECINCT NINE, HASTINGS SCHOOL, on Monday, the third day of June, <br /> A.D. , 1974 at 7:00 o'clock A.M. , then and there to vote Yes or No on the following ques- <br /> tions submitted to the voters at large: <br /> Pursuant to a petition for a referendum filed with the Selectmen upon the vote adopted <br /> under Article 100 of the Warrant for the Annual Town Meeting held on March 4, 1974, namely <br /> at an adjourned session thereof held on May 6, 1974: <br /> Shall the Town vote to approve the action of the representative town meeting whereby it <br /> was voted: <br /> That the Board of Selectmen Institute and establish a system of townwlde solid <br /> waste collection subject to the following terms and conditions: <br /> 1 . For Public Buildings and Schools, there shall be daily collection of <br /> solid waste, if necessary. <br /> 2. For single and two family private residences there shall be: <br /> (a) Collection of trash once every other week. <br /> (b) Collection of recyclable paper once during alternate weeks. <br /> (c) Collection of recyclable glass once a month. <br /> (d) Periodic collection of bulky waste. <br /> The Board of Selectmen shall be and hereby are empowered to make reasonable modi- <br /> fications in these terms and conditions in order to achieve initial implementation <br /> of this solid waste collection system. <br /> The Board of Selectmen shall make reasonable rules and regulations to carry out the <br /> foregoing solid waste collection system. Such rules and regulations shall be drawn <br /> to further the purpose of encouraging recycling of reclaimable solid waste and In- <br /> suring an efficient economically and ecologically sound system of solid waste dis- <br /> posal , and that the sum of $250,000 be appropriated to carry out the foregoing, such <br /> sum to be raised in the tax levy. <br /> Yes <br /> No <br /> Pursuant to a petition for a referendum filed with the Selectmen upon the vote adopted <br /> under Article 104 of the Warrant for the Annual Town Meeting held on March 4, 1974, namely <br /> at an adjourned session thereof held on May 2, 1974: <br /> Shall the Town vote to approve the action of the representative town meeting whereby it <br /> was voted: <br /> That the Zoning By-Law, the Zoning District Maps and the Zoning Map of the Town <br /> be amended by designating as an RD-Multi-Dwelling District a certain area of <br /> land, now included in the RO-One Family dwelling district, bounded and described <br /> as follows: <br /> SOUTHWESTERLY by Wood Street, 202.43 feet; <br /> NORTHWESTERLY by a stone wall running through Lot E as shown on Land <br /> Court plan No. 66868, about 375 feet; <br /> SOUTHWESTERLY by the remaining portion of said Lot E, about 300 feet; <br /> NORTHWESTERLY by the same, about 530 feet; <br /> NORTHEASTERLY by the same, by a stone wall , about 570 feet; <br /> EASTERLY by the same, about 660 feet; <br /> SOUTHEASTERLY by Lot F as shown on said plan, about 420 feet; <br /> SOUTHWESTERLY by the same, 458.73 feet; and <br /> SOUTHERLY by the same, 233.68 feet; <br /> Containing about 16.4 acres. <br /> Yes <br /> No <br />
