<br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County,
<br /> Greeting:
<br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed to notify the
<br /> inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs,
<br /> to meet in their respective voting places in said Town,
<br /> PRECINCT ONE, HARRINGTON SCHOOL; PRECINCT TWO, ADAMS SCHOOL; PRECINCT THREE, CARY
<br /> MEMORIAL BUILDING; PRECINCT FOUR, SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL; PRECINCT FIVE, CENTRAL FIRE
<br /> STATION; PRECINCT SIX, MARIA HASTINGS SCHOOL, on Monday, the twenty-seventh day of
<br /> April , A.D. , 1970 at 7:00 o'clock A.M. , then and there to vote Yes or No on the
<br /> following question submitted to the voters at large, pursuant to a petition for a
<br /> referendum filed with the Selectmen upon the vote adopted under Article 32 of the
<br /> Warrant for the Annual Town Meeting held on March 2, 1970, namely at an adjourned
<br /> session thereof held on March 25, 1970:
<br /> Shall the Town vote to approve the action of the representative town meeting
<br /> whereby it was voted to authorize the Selectmen to enter into a contract or contracts
<br /> for the remodeling of, and additions to, the Town Office Building and the Police
<br /> Building, and to authorize the Town Manager to supervise the work; to appropriate
<br /> $306,791 .00 for said remodeling, to provide for payment thereof by raising $31 ,791 .00
<br /> in the current tax levy and by issuing bonds or notes of the Town for the balance of
<br /> $275,000.00; and to appropriate $636,505.00 for the construction, original equipping
<br /> and furnishing of said additions and to provide for payment thereof by raising the
<br /> sum of $20,560.66 in the current tax levy, by transferring certain specified balances
<br /> totaling $ 100,944.34, and by issuing bonds or notes of the Town for the balance of
<br /> $515,000.00.

<br /> The polls will be open at 7:00 A.M. and will remain open until 8:00 P.M.
<br /> And you are directed to serve this warrant seven days at least before the time
<br /> of said meeting as provided in the By-Laws of the Town.

<br /> to the Town Clerk, on or before the time of said meeting.
