<br />Ad Hoc Fiscal Task Force <br /> <br />Members: 7 to 11 members <br />Appointed by: Selectmen <br />st <br />Length of Term: Preliminary recommendations to Selectmen by July 1 <br />th. <br />Final Report by September 15 <br />Appointments Made: As Needed <br />Meeting Times: one evening per week in May and June (day to be determined) <br /> <br />Description: To evaluate the Town’s likely financial scenario for the FY2010 to FY 2014 <br />period, identify options for dealing with these challenges and recommend policies and actions to <br />maintain stable and vibrant Town services when financially feasible. <br /> <br />The work of the Task Force will include, but not be limited to: <br /> <br /> <br />1.Identifying the potential significant changes to the Town’s revenue base/financial <br />condition resulting from the current economic downturn; <br /> <br />2.Assessing the potential length of the current downturn as it applies to the Town’s <br />financial condition; and <br /> <br />3.Propose options for addressing the impact of the recession on the Town’s ability to <br />fund services, including: <br /> <br /> <br />service reduction or elimination, <br /> <br /> <br />use of reserves, and <br /> <br /> <br />changes in the capital plan. <br /> <br />Criteria for Membership: The Task Force members shall consist of fiscally inclined citizens, <br />with sufficient background to anticipate the future financial and political landscape. <br /> <br />Composition: Selectmen (2), School Committee (1), TMMA (1) and citizens (up to 7). Staff <br />support will be provided by the Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager for Finance and <br />Budget Officer. The School Superintendent or his designee shall be a non-voting member. <br /> <br />.: <br />RefCharge adopted by the Selectmen on April 15, 2009. Members designated as Special <br />Municipal Employees on April 15, 2009.
