MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> HELD AT THE To—N OFFICE FTTLDINC, FRIDAY <br /> EVENTTTG, February 8, 1946 <br /> At 7 :30 P.M. the Appropriation Committee met with <br /> the Trustees of the Cary Memorial Library to go over the <br /> proposed alterations of the Library building. At 9 :40 P.M. <br /> the Committee met in the Town Accountant' s office with <br /> the following members in attendance : <br /> Lewis L. Hoyt, Chairman <br /> Ronald D. Brown Fred C. Newhall <br /> J. Milton Brown Harvey F. Winlock <br /> GeorTe M. Hynes Michael J. Hopkins <br /> Jasper Lane Raymond L. White, <br /> Town Accountant <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt started to ao over the <br /> Budgets in question, and the first Budget was the Assessors ' <br /> Department - EXpense Budget. It was decided that )ur <br /> figure of ' 620.00 was to remain. <br /> Registrations Department - Expenses. The 1381.00 <br /> approved is to remain. <br /> Engineerin'4 Department - Personal Services. The <br /> Budget totalling 111, 897.73 is to remain. <br /> Fire Department - Capital Expenditures. It was <br /> decided to do nothing further on this Budget until we <br /> receive], further information from Mr. Emery. This infor- <br /> mation will be available next Monday evening, February 11, <br /> 1946. <br /> Snow Removal - Total Approved $20,000.00. <br /> A motion was made, seconded and voted to approve <br /> this Budget in the am-unt of .120,000.00. <br /> Public Welfare - Personal Services . The <br /> Secretary was instructed to figure the Personal Services at <br />
