TTJTES OF T7E MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE <br /> HELD AT THE TOWN OFFICE BUILDING, FRIDAY <br /> EVENING, August 10, 1945 <br /> The meeting of the Appropriation Committee and the <br /> V-J Day Committee (appointed by the Selectmen) was opened <br /> in the Engineering Office at 8:00 P.M. , by Chairman Lewis L. <br /> Hoyt. There were seven members in attendance - eight voting. <br /> This was an emergency meeting to discuss V-3 Day. <br /> A motion was mr:.de, seconded and voted to approve <br /> the transfer of '1,000.00 from the Reserve Fund to the <br /> Selectmen' s Department - Expense Account for use in con- <br /> nection with V-J Day Celebration Activities. <br /> There is a letter in the hands of the V-J Day <br /> Committee from Mr. ?Waddell, Division of Accounts, authorizing <br /> the expenditure of the above money for V-J Day. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> ecretary. <br />
