MEETING OF THE <br /> ASSOCIATT'N OF TorN FINANCE COMMITTEES <br /> October 4, 1944. <br /> The Fall meeting of the Association of Town Finance <br /> Committees was held at the Hotel Sheraton, ' Bay State Road, <br /> ?3oston, Massachusetts on 'f'ednesday even, ng, October 4, 1944 <br /> at 6 :00 P.M. <br /> The following Appropriation Committee members were <br /> present: <br /> Harvey Winlock Ronald D. Brown <br /> Thacher Jenney Raymond T . T rhite <br /> Dinner vas served at 6 :30 P.M. <br /> Mr. Morgan, President of the Association, called <br /> the meeting to order at 7 :15 P.M. <br /> The first speaker of the evening was Danforth W. <br /> Comins, Executive Secretary who spoke on the various reports <br /> of the Appropriation Committees. His supgestions were helpfuls- <br /> one was to abandon the Request column; another was to show <br /> the average of the preceding three years. <br /> Mr. George Searles was the next speaker. He dis- <br /> cussed a bill Mr. Henry gong was going to introduce in the <br /> Nouse of Representatives which Is to set aside 1/20 of 1% <br /> of the Assessed.
