MIN(TTFS OF THE MEETING OF THE APPROPRIATION COMMIT'1EF <br /> HELD AT THE TOTN OFFICE BUILDING, MONDAY <br /> EVENING, JANUARY 17, 1944. <br /> Notification of this meeting was furnished to all mem- <br /> bers of the Committee by letter. <br /> The meeting was opened in the office of the Town Ac- <br /> countant at 8:07 P.M. , by Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt, with the fol- <br /> lowing members in attendance : <br /> Lewis L. Hoyt, Chairman <br /> Harvey F. Vinlock Raymond A. Bond <br /> Carl E. Bryant George M. Hynes <br /> Thacher Jenney Ronald D. Brown <br /> Richard W. Maynard Raymond L. White <br /> Town Accountant <br /> Minutes of the Meeting Held January 10, 1944. <br /> It was regularly moved and voted to dispense with the <br /> reading of the minutes of the regular meeting held January 10, 1944. <br /> Chairman Lewis L. Hoyt read a communication from the <br /> Association of Town Finance Committees, stating that the annual <br /> meeting is to be held at the Hotel Sheraton, Bay State Road, <br /> Boston, on Tuesday, January 25, 1944, at 6:00 P.M. <br /> Chairman Hoyt asked a question in regards to whether <br /> this Committee, should establish a policy concerning the salaries <br /> in the budgets, or should we judge each case on its own merits. <br /> After a general discussion, it was voted to abide by the recom- <br /> mendations of the Salary Report. <br /> Chairman Hoyt then asked whether the Personal Services <br /> Budgets now approved should be reconsidered. A motion was made, <br /> seconded and voted to reconsider the Personal Services Budgets <br /> approved at the meeting held January 10, 1944, as follows : <br />
