March 3 , 1962 <br /> The Appropriations Committee met Saturday morning, March 3, 1962 <br /> at 9:45 A. M. with the Board of Selectmen and the Standing School <br /> Building Committee at the request of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Present: J. Harper Blaisdell, Chairman <br /> C. Roland Christensen John R. Bevan <br /> Maurice F. Shaughnessy Frank E. Douglas <br /> Logan Clarke Jr-. Richard H. Battin <br /> Raymond L. White, Temp. Sec. <br /> Austin W. Fisher, Chairman of the Standing School Building Committee <br /> rte; presented Plan A and Plan B of the new secondary school buildings and <br /> went over the changes made since the original Plan A was submitted. <br /> New the estimated reduction from the original cost will be over <br /> S $300,000. <br /> Our Committee members looked over both plans, A and B and, in fact, <br /> all our members were in favor of Plan B. <br /> Plan B has parking space for 500 automobiles. <br /> If these plans are approved the the $115,000 is appropriated at the <br /> Annual Town Meeting for final plans and specifications then the <br /> consideration of bond issue for approximately $3,600,000 for new <br /> additions and alterations would not be necessary until the next <br /> fall Special Twwn Meeting. <br /> The Meeting adjourned at ll"20 A.
