Carroll. <br /> There were 156 Town Meeting Members present. <br /> For the reason the Moderator, Robert H. Holt, being absent, <br /> the Town Clerk, James J. Carroll, states it will be necessary to <br /> elect a Moderator Pro-'l'em for the meeting. <br /> Motion made and seconded nominations for Moderator Pro-Tem <br /> be made from the floor. <br /> A Unanimous vote. <br /> Motion made by George R. Fuller Senator Joseph R. Cotton <br /> act as Moderator Pro-Tem. <br /> Above motion seconded. <br /> Motion made and seconded nominations be closed. <br /> It was a unanimous vote that Senator Joseph R.Cotton act <br /> as Moderator Pro-Tem for the meeting. <br /> Senator Joseph R. Cotton as Moderator Pro-Tem was sworn to <br /> the faithful performance of his duties by the Town Clerk, James <br /> J. Carroll, the Town Clerk turning over the gavel to him at 8:14 <br /> P.M. , after which Senator Joseph R. Cotton, Moderator Pro-Term <br /> declared the meeting open for business. <br /> Town Clerk James J. Carroll read the warrant for the meeting, <br /> when upon motion of Selectmen Charles E. Ferguson, which was <br /> seconded, further reading of the warrant was waived. <br /> Town Clerk James J. Carroll read the Constable's return of <br /> the warrant for the meeting, 8:15 P.M. <br /> Selectman Charles E. Ferguson moved to take up Article 1. -' <br /> Allan W. Rucker, Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, <br /> presented the report of the Appropriation Committee, which was <br /> voted to be accepted and placed on file. 8:15 P.M. <br /> (Attached Hereto) <br />
