190 01 <br /> = <br /> ADJOURNED SPECIAL TOWN MEETING HELD DECEMBER 2,1935. t-4 <br /> The meeting was called to order by the Dioderator,Robert <br /> H Holt, at 8;12 P.M. <br /> There were 122 Town Meeting Members present. <br /> The Town Clerk, James 1 Carroll, read the warrant for the <br /> meeting , until further reading was waived . Unanimous 8;13 P.M. <br /> The Town Clerk read the Officers return of the warrant. <br /> Art.2 . Selectman Mr. Ferguson moved that article 2 be taken up. <br /> Mr. Rowse Chairman of the Appropriation Committee present <br /> his report for the meeting,which was approved as presented <br /> and voted to be placed on file. Unanimous 8;14 P.M. <br /> Art.3. Selectman Mr. Ferguson moved to take up article 3 ,present- <br /> ing the following; VOTED; that the Town authorize the <br /> Collector of Taxes and Town Collector to pay over to the <br /> Town Treasurer his collections dailey. <br /> question by Mr. Farnham if same was in order under the <br /> By-Laws of the Town, under Art.l4, Sec. 1. <br /> Mr. Nichols suggests if better to have vote read instruct- <br /> ed instead of authorise. <br /> Mr. Lamont moves vote be amended to read instructed instead <br /> authorise. <br /> Moderator rules same not in order. <br /> Mr. Farnham asks for opinion of the Town Counsel, who replies <br /> same would apply for now,but later may have to be changed <br /> in the Town By-Laws. <br /> Motion as presented carried unanimously 8;18 P.M. <br /> Art.4. Selectman Mr. Ferguson moves to take up article 4,offer- <br /> ing the following; VOTED that the sum of 41100.00 be trans- <br /> ferred from the Park Department appropriation to be used <br /> for labor and materials and other expenses for the aid of <br /> persons employed under the aorks Progess Administration <br /> within the Town, the money to be expended for the construc- <br /> tion of a skating area at the Center Playground. <br /> Carried unanimously 8;20 P.M. <br /> Art. 5. Selectman Mr. Ferguson moves to take up article 5, offering <br /> the following; VOTED that the Selectmen be authorized <br /> to install street lights on the following unaccepted. <br /> Streets; Outlook Drive, carried unanimously 8; 21 P.M. <br /> Rockville Avenue, Carried unanimously 8; 21 P.M. <br /> Art. 6. Selectman Mr. Ferguson moves to take up article 6, offering <br /> the following; VOTED that the slim of 41,114.95 be transferred <br /> from the Excess and Deficiency Account to the account <br /> for the Tax Collector and the Town Collector for the main- <br /> tenance of the Tax Collector's and Town Collector's office <br /> for the balance of the year 1935. <br /> Carried unanimously 8; 23 P.M. <br /> VOTED; that the sum of 4150.00 be transferred from the <br /> Excess and Deficiency Account to the account for the Tax <br /> Collector and Town Collector for the binding of records in <br /> the office of the Tax Collector and Town Collector. <br /> Carried unanimously 8;24 P.M. <br /> Art .7 .
