43 <br /> Special Town Meeting . <br /> August 14, 1933. <br /> The Meeting was called to order by the Moderator,Robert H Holt. <br /> at 8 ;13 P.M. <br /> There were one hundred and seventeen Town Meeting Members present. <br /> The- Town Clerk, James J Carroll, read the Warrant for the meeting <br /> until further reading was voted by the Town Meeting Members to be <br /> war/ed. <br /> The Town Clerk continued by reading the Constable ' s Return of the <br /> Warrant for the Meeting. <br /> Under Article One, Frederic L Fischer, for the Appropriation Com- <br /> mittee, offered the following report; 7overing the articles of the <br /> Warrant for the meeting; <br /> Article 5 Approved <br /> 6 <br /> 41200. to be transferred from <br /> Sewer Assessment Account to Sewer <br /> Construction Account, <br /> 7 1600 .00 <br /> Under Article 8 we annrove the sum of 40,000.00 to be secured as <br /> a loan in accordance with the National Industrial recovery Act, <br /> Under Article 9 we approve the sum of cli46,000.00 to be secured as <br /> a loan in accordance with the National Industrial Recovery Act. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Frederic L Fischer <br /> For the Cor=ittee. <br /> Selectmam Mr. Trask , moved that the above report be accepted. <br /> -7 Carried unanimously 8;15 P.M. <br /> Selectman Mr . Trask, moved to take up article two , offering the <br /> following; ' Voted that the street beginning at a ooint in Allen Street, <br /> said point being easterly and distant 400 feet from Waltham Street and <br /> running in a northerly direction toward Marrett Road(formerly known as <br /> Middle Street) be named Stedman Road. <br /> Carried unanimously 8 ;18 P.M. <br /> Selectman Mr . Trask, moved to take up article 3, offering the <br /> following; Voted that the sum of ' 500. , the balance of the account New <br /> Headquarters Fire Station,Architects ' Plans and Contractors ' Bids , be <br /> transferred to the Excess and Deficiency Account. <br /> Carried unanimously 8;19 P.M. <br /> Selectman Mr . Trask, moved to take up article 4, offering the <br /> following; Voted that the Selectmen be authorized to take by eminant do- <br /> main the necessary eas4nent for the construction of a trunk line sewer <br /> in approximately the following location; <br /> Beginning at a point within the Boston and Lowell Railroad <br /> Corporation Right of Way, said-Point being at or near the Arlington- <br /> Lexington town line, thence 'northwesterly distant about 200 feet to a <br /> point, said point being northeasterly and distant about 20 feet from the <br /> northeasterly line of the Boston and Lowell Railroad Corporation Right of <br /> Way, thence northwesterly distant about 600 feet to a point in the center <br /> line of Eow Street, said point being northeasterly ant distant 212.96 feet <br /> from the northeasterly line of Massachusetts Avenue, thence North 70o 50 ' <br /> 38 West distant 223.94 feet to a point, thence North 64o 13' 38" West <br /> distant 299.51 feet to a noint, thence North 26o 35 '38" West distant 182 .73 <br /> feet to a point, thence along the center line of Brandon Street and said <br /> Center line extended North 65o 22' 08' West distant 1190.88 feet to a <br /> Point, thence South 35o 52 ' 52' West distant 215.96 feet to a manhole in <br /> the present sewer outlet near the East Lexington Railroad Station, all <br /> as shown on a plan entitled, Plan of Proposed Sewer Outlet, Lexington, <br /> Massachusetts, August 7,1933, Scale 1 in.- ,100 'feet, John T Cosgrove , <br /> Town Engineer, " to a width of twenty feet on each side of the said <br /> location.
