M . , and remained open until six P . M . at which time after due notice they were closed . The election officers were sworn to the faithful perfor- mance of their duties . The ballots were counted by the election officers in each precinct , the tally sheets and total vote sheets prepared by the Ton Clerk being used . The ballots cast were counted , enclosed in envelopes , sealed , signed by the election officers , together with the unused ballots , delivered to the Town Clerk at his office . The total registration of voters was 3019 . • The Town Clerk canvassed the result as follows ; Precinct I . BeLots cast 559 Precinct II Ballots cast 1866 Total vote cast , 2425
