<br />MINUTES for: <br />BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />Wednesday, October 15, 2014, 7:00 P.M. <br />Parker Room, Town Office Building <br />1625 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA <br />Board of Health Members in Attendance: <br />Sharon MacKenzie, John J. Flynn, J.D., David Geller, MD <br />Health Division Attendees: <br />Gerard F. Cody, Health Director, Linda Rainville, Clerk <br />1.) Minutes of September 17, 2014 accepted with corrections <br /> <br />2.) Community Health <br /> a.) CHNA grant update – not addressed due to time constraints <br /> b.) MAPC tobacco grant update – not addressed due to time constraints <br /> c.) Flu Clinic Schedule 2014 – Next Flu Clinic will be held October 25, 2014 at the Clark Middle School <br /> d.) Community Health and Infectious Disease Report – presented but not addressed due to time <br />constraints <br />3.) Environmental Health <br />a.) Food Inspection program <br /> 1.) Royal India Bistro – Jatinda Singh and Lisa Berger reported the results for the recent <br />inspection. There were a few minor violations; food items not covered, pan on top of shelf not covered, trash <br />barrel in bathroom not covered. Lisa reported that training has continued. Jatinda will continue with training <br />schedules and cleaning schedules. Because there has been such success with this program, S. MacKenzie <br />motioned and D. Geller seconded that they could skip coming to the BOH meeting next month (November) and <br />return in December. <br /> 2.) Let’s Tart – Residential Kitchen Permit - Emmanuelle De’Pollier, Owner met with the BOH to get <br />approval for a Residential Kitchen Permit. She answered questions from the BOH regarding cleaning and <br />sanitizing. She explained that her customers would come to pick up the product(s) and in rare cases she may <br />deliver. <br />b.) State Sanitary Code Case Review <br /> 1.) 267 Waltham Street – Mr. Cody told the BOH about the procedure used during the <br />“emergency condemnation of this house. The resident is now in a “Safe House”. The Town hired 24 Trauma to <br />clean up the home (a lien has been put on the property for the fee for this cleaning). The next step will be to <br />find out what it will take to get water and heat back on. And then to get the resident back home if he is stable <br />enough to move back. <br /> <br />c.) Medical Marijuana update - Ethan Handwerker spoke with the BOH regarding a delivery system <br />even if there is no facility in town. Would there be a permit required for the person making those deliveries? <br />How is that done without compromising the HIPPA laws? Questions arose regarding a Dispensary Agent <br />Permit – would that be a State Permit or a Town Permit? Should it be handled like pharmacies that deliver <br />drugs? <br /> <br />
