<br />TOWNOFLEXINGTON <br />Governance/OperationsSubCommitteeofthe <br />AdhocCommunityCenterAdvisoryCommittee(AhCCAC) <br />Minutes <br />Date: November 19, 2014 <br />Place and time: Board of Selectmen Meeting Room, top floor, Town Office Building, at 9 AM <br />Members Present: Betty Borghesani, Chair, Florence Koplow, Harry Forsdick, Linda Vine, Koren <br />Stembridge <br />Also Present: Karen Simmons <br />____________________________________________________________________________ <br />1.Meeting called to order at 9 AM <br />2.Reviewed and approved minutes for October 1, 2014 <br />3.Reviewed committee task of establishing Policies and Procedures guidelines for the LexCC. Will <br />be guided by those in place for Library and Recreation. Guidelines will also need to be <br />reviewed/approved by town counsel, BOS and Town Manager. <br />4.Focused on the LexCC Use Policy Draft. Discussion centered on: <br />Need to clearly define who can reserve and use program spaces in LexCC in addition to town <br />departments and committee – individual groups of citizens, non-profits, people providing <br />services, small business start-ups, etc <br />What will determine if program is private or open to all <br />What will determine priority of use of space <br />Will we have fees for use of space; if so, will it be fixed or sliding depending on category as <br />with recreation department <br />Can program sponsors charge for program or supplies <br />Will one need to sign in when they attend a program <br />Will one need to sign in when arriving at LexCC <br />5.Also need to give attention to policy for childen <br />What age can they be there unattended if not in formal program <br />How to sign in and sign out <br />6.Florence Koplow suggests we invite Harwich CC Community Director to discuss some of these <br />issues with us. <br />7.Next meeting Monday, November 24, at 9AM <br />8.Meeting adjourned at 10:40 <br />Respectfully submitted, Betty Borghesani, Scribe <br />
