Minutes of the Community Preservation Committee
Monday, June 16, 2014
Estabrook Hall, Cary Memorial Building
1605 Massachusetts Avenue
7:10 pm
Present:

Committee Members:
Marilyn Fenollosa, Chair; Richard Canale, David Horton, Jeanne Krieger, Leo
McSweeney, Bob Pressman and Sandy Shaw.
Administrative Assistant
: Nathalie Rice
The meeting was called to order at 7:12 pm. by Ms. Fenollosa.
1.Report to Special Town Meeting
The CPC voted (7-0) to accept the CPC Report to
Special Town Meeting which summarized the CPC position on two articles: Article 3
regarding the acquisition of the Sellars property; and Article 10, regarding $500,000 in
additional CPA funding for Renovations to the Community Center.
2.Updates on Articles 3 and 10
The CPC had previously voted (8-0) to support Article 3.
The Committee discussed briefly how to proceed if Article 2 to re-zone the Sellars parcel
did not receive Town Meeting support. The Committee felt it would still be worthwhile to
seek clear title on the parcel.
Article 10 had received previous CPC support (7-1) and there was only a brief discussion
regarding the possible outcome.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:21 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Nathalie Rice
Administrative Assistant
Community Preservation Committee
1
