<br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />MeetingMinutesforSept.18,2014 <br />Attendees:MelindaWalker,HarrietCohen,BetseyWeiss,BobPressman,MaryHaskell,JeriFoutter <br />Guests:JenniferVanCampen <br />ThemeetingwaschairedbyBetseyWeissandtheminutesweretakenbyHarrietCohen.Themeeting <br />wascalledtoorderat7:40pm. <br />1.Approvalofminutes <br />Ms.WalkermovedapprovaloftheminutesofJanuary23,2014;May1,2014;May5,2014;and <br />June6,2014.Ms.Cohensecondedthemotion.Theminuteswereapprovedunanimously. <br />2.UpdatePotentialParcelList(DanGaulin) <br />Mr.Gaulinwasnotpresent.Ms.HaskellwillcontactMr.Gaulinabouttheupdatingofthepotential <br />parcellistandalsoaboutthesmallgrantsprogram. <br />3.FairviewΑPlanningBoardon9/17andZoningBoardofAppeals(ZBA)on9/25 <br />ThePlanningBoardmetasplannedonSept.17andsupportstheFairviewproposal.LexHABbelieves <br />thetrafficissueshavebeenaddressed;noplanstopaveorwidentheroad.ThePlanningBoardwill <br />sendaletterofsupportfortheproposaltotheZBA.Theletterwillincludeadiscussionoftheroad <br />pavingandotherissuesraisedbyPlanningBoardmembers.OnbehalfoftheBoardofSelectmen, <br />theZBA. <br />JoePatosentaletterofsupportto <br />4.Photo(SteveTabeling) <br />Mr.Tabelingtookthegroupphoto. <br />5.UpdateonLexHAB:Busa,FairviewandLeary;andBoS(BetseyWeiss) <br />Mr.PatoupdatedMs.Weiss.Ms.WeissrelatedthatMr.PatowouldliketoseetheFairviewprocess <br />completed,andthenfollowedbytheBusaprocess.Whentheyarecomplete,thenmoveonto <br />completetheLearyprocess.Mr.KennedyofLexHABagreesthatitisappropriatetostartwith <br />Fairview,demonstratesuccess,andthenmoveon. <br />6.ConsiderationofLHPlettertotheBoSrequesting$50,000inCPAfundsforLearydesignworkand <br />requesting$700,000inCPAfundsforLexHABpropertyacquisition(Mr.Pressman) <br />Mr.PressmanmovedthatLHPsendaletterpromptlytoBOSaskingthatBOSsubmit2funding <br />requeststoCPCbytheNovember1,2014deadlineforproposalsforthenextannualTownMeeting. <br />Theseare\[a\]requestfor$50,000forusebyLexHABtosecureplantoimplementsuggestionsof <br />Learysitecommitteeand\[b\]requestfor$700,000forusebyTownorLexHABtosecureasiteto <br />replicateaFairviewtypeapproach. <br />Ms.Walkersecondedthemotion. <br />ThePartnershipdiscussedthemotion.Mr.Pressmanstatedthatthepurposeofthemotionwasto <br />secureCPAfundingtoimplementsuggestionsforBoardofSelectmenhousingprioritiesinthenext <br />year,adoptedbyLHPinMay2014.Themotionfailedwithavoteof1infavor,5againstandno <br />abstentions. <br /> <br />
