<br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />MeetingMinutesforOctober30,2014 <br />Attendees:BetseyWeiss,MelindaWalker,MaryHaskell,BobPressman,HarrietCohen,JeriFoutter,JoePato <br />Guests:DanGaulin,RegionalHousingServicesOffice(RHSO),CandyMcLaughlin <br />Absent:NancyCorcoranRonchetti,EricaEndyke,BillKennedy,WendyManz <br />ThemeetingwaschairedbyBetseyWeissandtheminutesweretakenbyHarrietCohen.Themeetingwas <br />calledtoorderat7:35pm. <br />1.Approvalofminutes <br />Ms.CohenhasbeenworkingonminorchangeswithMr.Pressmanandwillreissuetheminutesshortly. <br />Thegoalistoapprovetheminutesatthenextmeeting. <br />2.Publicemailaddressproject(CandyMcLoughlin) <br />Records,includingmails,mustbearchived.EverycommitteehasanaddressͻθƌĻǣźƓŭƷƚƓ͵ƒğ͵ŭƚǝͼ͵Each <br />committeeisresponsibleformonitoringandmanagingtheiremailthroughOutlookWebApplication <br />(OWA).Ifanemailcomesinthatthewholecommitteeshouldsee,itshouldbesenttothecommittee. <br />EveryoneshouldreplyallorCCsothatthecommitteemailboxreceivestheemail. <br />AllemailsenttothecommitteemailboxwillbearchivedbytheTown.(Note:theemailfortheLHPis <br />housingpartnershipboard@lexington.ma.gov) <br />3.UpdateonthePotentialParcelList(DanGaulin) <br />Mr.GaulinhasreviewedtheͻtƚƷĻƓƷźğƌParcel\[źƭƷͼforassessedvalues.Thelistdidnotyieldagreatdealof <br />usefulinformationwithrespecttohousepricing.Lotsize,however,seemstobemorepromising:two <br />houseseachonalargelotonConcordAve.Also,EldredSt.hasanumberofsmallerhomesonlargerlots. <br />ŷğƷ͸ƭinterestingbecausethereispotentialforbuyingtwohousesandputtingupthreehouses.Mr. <br />Gaulinidentifiedseveralotherpropertiesthatofferthepotentialforaffordablehousing.Overtimeifthese <br />becameavailable,itmightbepossibletopurchasethemwithCPAfunding,eitherbuyingtheproperty <br />outrightorbytakingamortgageonthepropertyandpayingthemortgagebyrentingouttheproperty. <br />4.SmallGrantsProgram(MaryHaskellandDanGaulin) <br />TheLHPagreedthatasmallgrantsprogramisagoodidea.Fundingtheprogramisanissue:itishighly <br />unlikelythatCPAfundingcouldbeallocatedforthesesmallgrants.TheLHPwouldhavetoraisethemoney <br />throughdonationsorseedmoneyfromdevelopers.Ms.HaskellwillcontactBobBicknellforhisthoughts <br />onopportunitiesforfundraising. <br />5.LexingtonHousingFoundationReport(JeriFoutter) <br />Ms.FoutterprovidedafinancialreportfortheLexingtonHousingFoundation(LHF).Theendingbalancefor <br />theLHFis$13,807.47,asofJuly31,2014.RefertoAppendixAfortheLHFFfinancialreport. <br />6.MWCDandLHPInformationSessiononQualifyingforAffordableHousing(JeriFoutter) <br />Thereweretwosessions,oneintheeveningandoneinthedaytime.Thedaytimesessionwasbetter <br />attendedthantheeveningsessionΑseveralpeoplecalledandcouldnotattendtheeveningsession <br />becauseoftheweather.Multipletownemployeesattendedthesessions.Theinformationseemedtobe <br />wellreceived.ThankyoutoJenniferofVanCampenofMWCDfordoingthepresentationandthankyouto <br /> <br />
