<br />Selectmen’s Meeting <br />September 8, 2014 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday, September 8, 2014, at 7:00 <br />p.m. in the Selectmen Meeting Room of the Town Office Building. Chairman Pato, Mr. Kelley, <br />Mr. Cohen, and Ms. Ciccolo; Mr. Valente, Town Manager; and Ms. Pease, Executive Clerk, <br />were present. <br /> <br />Selectmen Concerns and Liaison Reports <br /> <br />Mr. Kelley announced that he plans to run for another term as Selectman in the March 2015 <br />Annual Town Election. <br /> <br />Mr. Pato reported on a Conservation Stewards project at Dunback Meadow. They <br />repaired/replaced all boardwalks between the Bowman School and the new bridge. The <br />Selectmen are very appreciative of all the work the Conservation Stewards do. <br /> <br />Mr. Pato received a request from the Board of Appeals to review the Fairview Avenue project <br />that LexHAB is doing. He will draft a response using information from prior Selectmen <br />meetings where the project was discussed and supported by the Selectmen. The Selectmen <br />approved him providing the necessary information to the Board of Appeals. <br /> <br />Town Manager Report <br /> <br />Mr. Valente reported on two items: <br /> <br /> <br />1.He provided information on the Bedford Sewer work that is expected to begin September 8 <br />and continue for approximately two months. Traffic will be affected on Bedford Street from <br />the Westview Cemetery to the Route 95 ramps. <br /> <br />2.Gary Ganley, a DPW 30 plus year employee passed away. He took care of the Battle Green. <br />The Selectmen approved lowering the Battle Green Flag on Wednesday, September 10, <br />2014, for Mr. Ganley’s long-time service to the Town. <br /> <br />Grant of Location – National Grid – Fottler Avenue <br /> <br />Mr. Pato opened the hearing at 7:13 p.m. <br /> <br />Ms. Kelleher, Acting Permit Representative for National Grid, asked for approval of the request <br />to install new service at 45 Fottler Avenue. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted 4-0 to approve the petition for National Grid <br />to install and maintain approximately 90 feet of 4inch gas main in Fottler Avenue. <br /> <br />The hearing was closed at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
