<br />TOWNOFLEXINGTON <br />AdhocCommunityCenterAdvisoryCommittee(AhCCAC) <br />ProgramsGroup <br />Minutes of Meeting of April 1, 2014 FINAL <br />A meeting of the Ad hoc Community Center Advisory Committee Programs Group was held <br />on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM in theReed Room at the Town Office Building, 1625 <br />Massachusetts Avenue. A quorum of 6 was present. <br />Members Present: Laura Hussong, Chair; Sheila Butts (Assistant Director, Recreation Department), <br />Jon Himmel, Florence Koplow, Charlotte Rodgers (Director, Human Services Department), Karen <br />Simmons (Director, Recreation Department) <br />Members Absent: Leslie Zales <br />Also present: Craig Hall, Director, Lexington Community Education <br />Meeting called to order at 1:10 PM <br />1.Objectives: <br /> Discussed what we are to accomplish, what other groups we should include, and <br />when they should be included. We will first work on consolidating the Recreation <br />Department/Human Services programming matrix, the list of desired programs compiled from the <br />Community Center Task Force (CCTF) survey, and the list of desired new programs Recreation <br />provided to CCTF into an augmented program matrix. <br />2.Procedures: <br /> Discussion of how we might proceed to organize all the possible programs we have <br />thus far identified, as well as those we are not yet aware of. We all noted that there is a very <br />strong relationship between governance policy and program prioritization. First we will collect <br />all the programs and categorize them functionally, and then look at what is possible/desirable <br />without yet considering policy. <br />3.Schedule: <br />We want to schedule a regular schedule of meetings going forward but will not do that <br />until other stakeholders are present.
