<br />TOWNOFLEXINGTON <br />AdhocCommunityCenterAdvisoryCommittee(AhCCAC) <br />ProgramsGroup <br />Minutes of Meeting of July 30, 2014 <br />Final <br />A meeting of the Ad hoc Community Center Advisory Committee Programs Group was held <br />on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 1:30 PM in theReed Room (111) at the Town Office <br />Building, 1625 Massachusetts Avenue. <br />Members Present: Laura Hussong, Chair; Jon Himmel, Karen Simmons (Director, Recreation <br />Department), Sheila Butts (Assistant Director, Recreation Department) <br />Members Absent: Florence Koplow, Leslie Zales, Charlotte Rodgers (Human Resources Department) <br />Meeting called to order at 1:33 PM with a quorum of four. <br />Program offerings <br />Jon prepared a new matrix for the July 31 meeting, but we wanted to look at it together before the <br />meeting to make best use of that time. His thoughts about how to proceed tomorrow: we can use <br />descriptions of current offerings to help fill in information on new programs, such as how often it will <br />be offered, what furniture is required, how many people in the class/program. Senior activities will <br />be kept at the same times they are currently offered to minimize changes. Jon will add an additional <br />column to the matrix that will allow us to indicate which activities are ones proposed for the soft <br />opening, period between soft opening and grand opening, grand opening, and first-year. Laura will <br />update the matrix guide to add the new codes for these, and the additional inputs from ICE students, <br />TILL memo, Youth services, and LABBB. What programs will add pizzazz for the soft opening that <br />are not being offered now but will generate interest?
