<br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br /> Ad hoc Community Center Advisory Committee (AhCCAC) <br /> Programs Group <br /> <br />Minutes of Meeting of May 28, 2014 <br />Final <br /> <br />A meeting of the Ad hoc Community Center Advisory Committee Programs Group was held <br />on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Parker Room (G-15) at the Town Office <br />Building, 1625 Massachusetts Avenue. <br /> <br />Members Present: Laura Hussong, Chair; Jon Himmel, Karen Simmons (Director, Recreation <br />Department), Sheila Butts (Assistant Director, Recreation Department) <br /> <br />Members Absent: Leslie Zales, Florence Koplow, Charlotte Rodgers (Director, Human Services <br />Department) <br /> <br />Also present: Barb Deveau from Human Services <br /> <br />Meeting called to order at 1:11 PM with a quorum of four. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br /> <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 12, 2014 meeting, as corrected, were approved unanimously. <br />Motion: Sheila Butts/Second: Karen Simmons <br /> <br />Master Matrix - Process <br />We are looking at all of the programs, by category, in the master matrix to determine which ones will <br />be offered, eliminating programs that are duplicates (because they appeared on various lists from <br />various surveys, departments, wish lists etc.) and for now filtering out (but keeping in the database) <br />citizen-run programs (C), ones planned for the future (F), and ones not in the current budget (N). This <br />will allow us to start to program activities into the 10 multipurpose rooms in the building, and setting <br />aside space for citizen-run programs. <br /> <br />We examined Jon's Fitness section of the complete matrix and for each entry marked it either: <br /> <br /> <br />D duplicate of item already on the list <br /> <br /> <br />K keep (things doing now and in budget) <br /> <br /> <br />N new (planned but not yet budgeted) <br /> <br /> <br />F future (something we hope to do at some point) <br /> <br /> <br />C something that will be 'citizen-run' (therefore not in budget of Rec or Hsvcs) <br /> <br /> <br />E expansion of a current offering (keyed as KE keep and expand) <br /> <br />Future Meetings, all will be in the Parker Room (G-15) at the Town Office Building <br /> Monday June 9, 2014 9:30 - 11:30 AM <br /> Monday June 23, 2014 9:30 - 11:30 AM <br />These will be working meetings, to examine the rest of the categories of the master matrix <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:00 PM. <br /> <br />Materials distributed/used at the meeting are attached: <br />CommunityCenter 11May2014Fitness.pdf; agenda; 5/11/14 minutes <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br />
