<br />Lexington Housing Partnership <br />MeetingminutesforOctober24,2013 <br />Attendees:BobPressman,WendyManz,MelindaWalker,BetseyWeiss,HarrietCohen,JeriFoutter, <br />CaroleMarine,JoePato,TomHarden,MichelleCiccolo <br />Guests:BobBicknell,ChrisKluchman,FlorenceBaturin <br />ThemeetingwaschairedbyBetseyWeissandtheminutesweretakenbyHarrietCohen.Themeeting <br />wascalledtoorderat7:35pm. <br />1.AppreciationforChrisKluchmanandFlorenceBaturin <br />TheLHPexpresseditsappreciationfortheworkofChrisKluchmanandFlorenceBaturin,whohaveboth <br />beenpivotalinthepromotionofaffordablehousing.Theirdiligence,senseofhumor,andinformed <br />advocacyhasadvancedthecauseofaffordablehousinginLexington.BothMs.KluchmanandMs. <br />BaturinwillbemissedgreatlybytheLHP.Wewishthemtheverybest. <br />OnbehalfoftheBoardofSelectmen,JoePatopresentedcertificatesofappreciationtoMs.Kluchman <br />andMs.Baturin. <br />2.RequestreappointmentsforHarrietCohen,MaryHaskell,andCaroleMarine <br />MichelleCiccolomovedamotiontorequestreappointmentforHarrietCohen,MaryHaskellandCarole <br />MarinetotheLexingtonHousingPartnership.BobPressmansecondedthemotion.Themotionpassed <br />unanimously. <br />3.ApprovaloftheMinutes <br />Theminuteswerediscussed.Ms.WeissaddedMs.ağƓǩ͸ƭnametotheminutes.Therewerenoother <br />correctionsorcomments.Ms.CohenmovedapprovaloftheminutesandMs.Walkerseconded.There <br />were9votesinfavorand1abstention. <br />4.ParcelSubcommitteeupdateΑBetseyandMelinda <br />TheParcelSubcommitteereceivedwordthatapropertyat430ConcordAvehasbeenputunder <br />agreement.SteveLaferriereofMetroWestCollaborativeDevelopmentwillcalltodeterminethestatus <br />oftheproperty,and,ifitisstillavailable,inquireastowhethertheownerwouldbewillingtoconsidera <br />saleforaffordablehousing.Thereisapotentialof70unitsonthelot.Mr.Laferrierewillalsocheckasto <br />whethertheownerofaWoburnStlotwouldconsiderasaleforaffordablehousing.Theowneris <br />consideringsellingthepropertyanditwouldaccommodatebetween9and12units.Ifeitherorboth <br />ownerswouldconsidersuchasale,MWCDwouldspearheadthedevelopmentofmixedusehousing <br />(affordableandmarketrate).Ms.WalkerwillinquireaLincolnStreetpropertyownerastowhetherhe <br />wouldconsidersuchdevelopmentonhisproperty.Severalotherpropertieswerediscussedas <br />alternativestopursueatalatertime. <br />5.LexHABΑBusaFarmUpdateΑBobPressman <br />LexHABsponsoredameetingwiththeabuttersofBusaFarmtoshowthemadrawingoftheplanned <br />housingfortheBusaFarmland.SomelocalresidentswrotetotheBoardofSelectmentosaythatthe <br />currentprocessisinsufficientlycomprehensivefordealingwithissuesrelatedtothehousing <br />developmentatBusaFarm.Asaresult,LexHABwillscheduleadditionalmeetingswiththeabuttersand <br />willmodifysomeoftheirplanstoreflectcommentstheyhavereceived. <br /> <br />
