BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br /> Wednesday, August 14, 2013, 7:00 P.M. <br /> Estabrook Hall, Cary Memorial Building <br /> 1625 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA <br /> Board of Health Members in Attendance: <br /> Wendy Heiger- Bernays, PhD, Chair, John J. Flynn, J.D., Sharon MacKenzie R.N., CCM <br /> Board of Health Members not in Attendance: <br /> David S. Geller, MD, Burt Perlmutter, MD <br /> Health Department Attendees: <br /> Gerard F. Cody, Health Director <br /> Linda Rainville, Clerk <br /> Wendy Heiger- Bernays, PhD. called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> 1.) Minutes of June 12, 2013 <br /> The Board reviewed the minutes of June 12, 2013. Mr. Flynn motioned to approve minutes with one <br /> correction. Ms. McKenzie seconded. All approved. <br /> 2.) Community Health <br /> • Flu Clinics are scheduled <br /> • TB case is under control <br /> • CHNA Grant update: Mental Health issues are not being met. There is a duplication of services <br /> with Human Services. Health dept is applying for a grant. Money from grant may be used re- <br /> organize what is already available in Lexington. <br /> 3.) Environmental Health Report <br /> a.) Food Inspection Program <br /> The Board reviewed the Health Report/Food Inspections Report submitted by Kathy Fox. <br /> 1.) Bread Obsession, Ms. Varda Haimo, presented her plan to run a bread baking business <br /> out of her home. She would be baking artisan breads to be sold at farmer's markets in the <br /> area. She has taken a ServSafe class. <br /> Ms. McKenzie moved to accept the proposal as presented, Ms. Heiger-Bernays <br /> seconded, All Approved <br /> 2.) The Chicken and Rice Guys,Mr. Ian So,presented his request to park the truck at 101 <br /> Hartwell Ave, Lincoln Group, on Tuesdays from 11:00 -2:00. The food will be cooked at <br /> the kitchen in Malden and reheated on the truck. The on-site food manager is ServSafe <br /> Certified. <br /> Ms. McKenzie moved to accept the proposal as presented, Ms. Heiger-Bernays <br /> seconded, All Approved <br /> 3.) Clover Food Lab, Ms. Ali Brubaker, presented her request to park a food truck at Vista <br /> Print, 95 Hayden Ave., for 2 or 3 events. Because of a previous salmonella issue with <br /> Clover, Ali explained what was done to correct the problem. Each truck has a ServSafe <br /> Certified person. <br /> Ms. McKenzie moved to accept the proposal as presented, Ms. Heiger-Bernays <br /> seconded, All Approved <br /> 4.) MeiMei, Street Kitchen,Andrew Li, presented a request to periodically sell food from <br /> the food truck at Vista Print. The food would be prepared in the commissary in <br /> Roslindale. Food would be reheated and served from the truck. They are ServSafe <br /> Certified. <br />
